Ad serving Technology

Consent syncing across our apps
Where a European regulations consent message is shown, we use the Google User Messaging Platform (UMP) SDK to sync your consent decision across our apps. This means that if you make a consent choice in one of our apps, that choice may be automatically applied to the other apps listed below, so that you are not asked again in each app.
To do this, a consent sync identifier is sent to Google’s consent server together with your consent (TC) string. This identifier does not contain any information that directly identifies you: it is a pseudonymous, non-reversible value and we do not send Google your name, email address or other personal details for this purpose.

Analytics
Firebase Analytics is a analysis service provided by Google. Firebase utilizes the Data collected to track and examine the use of this Application, to prepare reports on its activities and share them with other Google services.
User-associated performance data such as app launch time, hang rate, or energy usage, may be used to evaluate user behavior, understand the effectiveness of existing product features, and plan new features.
IP address, may be used to estimate the general location of a device.
Google may use the Data collected to contextualize and personalize the ads of its own advertising network.

Diagnosis
Non-user related crash logs and performance data, may be used to diagnose problems and improve the app.

AI Assistant
The applications include a virtual assistant based on artificial intelligence, which answers questions about the use of the app. The assistant is powered by Google’s Gemini models, accessed through Firebase AI Logic on the Google Gemini Enterprise Agent Platform (formerly Vertex AI).
The assistant is an AI-based system, not a human operator, and its answers may be inaccurate or incomplete. They do not constitute technical, professional or safety advice and should always be verified before being acted upon.
When you send a message to the assistant, the text you write is transmitted to Google’s servers to generate the answer, together with limited technical context (such as the app version and the interface language). We do not send your name, email address or account identifiers.
We do not store your conversations on our servers. The conversation is kept only in the memory of your device for the duration of the chat session and is discarded when the session ends. We have no access to the content of your conversations with the assistant. Google may retain the request for a limited period for abuse monitoring purposes.
The messages you send are not used to train Google’s models. Processing takes place on our behalf: Google acts as a data processor and may process the data on servers located outside the European Economic Area, on the basis of the safeguards provided by Google Cloud (Standard Contractual Clauses).
Legal basis: the processing is necessary to provide the support functionality you requested. If you do not wish your messages to be processed, you can simply avoid using the assistant.
Please do not enter personal data, passwords, credentials, IP addresses or any confidential information in the chat: the assistant does not need them to answer your questions.

User Communications (Information You Provide)
When you use our email support services, we may retain those communications in order to process your inquiries, respond to your requests, personalize your experience, notify you of promotional offers, and improve our services, assist with our product and service development.

Android App – Permissions and sensitive data
The applications has such permissions:
- Access to the Internet: used to display ads and check updates
- View network status: used to verify access to the Internet
- Wake lock: used to keep the display on during some operations
- Billing and Check License: used to make and verify In-App purchases
- Access coarse/fine location (Only Photovoltaic Calculations app): used to obtain the latitude and longitude in order to calculate the correct position of the sun and the correct inclination of the solar panels
- Accelerometer sensor data (Only Photovoltaic Calculations app): used to show the correct position of the compass
Application does not collect, transmit or store any personal information. Any personal information accessed is used locally on the device and solely for the application to provide suitable functionality
iOS App – Permissions
The application has such permissions:
- Photo Library Usage: used to save the application screenshots
- Traking Usage: used to deliver personalized ads
- Locations When In Use (Only Photovoltaic Calculations app): used to obtain the latitude and longitude in order to calculate the correct position of the sun and the correct inclination of the solar panels
- Local network usage (Only RaspController app): required to connect with Raspberry Pi via SSH
